Maple Bourbon Glazed Salmon
This is a nice twist on sweet & savory with a bonus of adding your favorite bourbon. It comes together quickly using 4 basic ingredients and a great fillet of wild sockeye salmon. This amazing recipe comes to us from @thekitchenwhitelaw
Preheat oven or grill to 400° F.
Place salmon on a baking tray skin side down and rub with a light coat of evoo. Season salmon with your favorite blend of herbs and spices. Ex. Salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic granules, fresh dill.
Roast salmon for 10-15 min or until internal temp is 130° F.
Brush salmon with maple bourbon glaze during the last 5 min of the cook, and again after done cooking.
Maple Bourbon Glaze
This recipe is scalable based on need. The ration is 2:1:1
2 tbsp Maple Syrup
1 tbsp of your favorite Bourbon
1 tbsp unsalted Butter
Splash of Worcestershire
Combine ingredients in a small pot and heat over medium heat. Whisk to combine. Flambé the mixture to burn off any excess alcohol. Continue to cook until slightly reduced and thoroughly combined, about 5 min. Pour-over/brush on hot, glaze will thicken as it cools.
